G-Dog and the Homeboys

Newman Club members meet Fr. Greg Boyle after his talk in the Sport Center about his participation in the creation of Homeboy Industries and involvement in his L.A. gang member ministries.

The summer reading this year for all RCC classes was the book, G-Dog and the Homeboys. This book touched on the story of Fr. Greg Boyle and his "gang members" ministry in L.A.

Though we were unable to attain a "personal" audience with this great man, some of us were able to rush in for a quick pic before he was rushed back to the airport. We thank God for the great work this man does and for the impact he has had on all those people who's lives he's influenced through his ministry and work.

To learn more about Homeboy Industries, click on the link below. To learn more about Fr. Boyle and his ministry, I'd recommend reading some of the book - copies may be found in the Olin Library.
